Hey ZiBBZ, we are loving the newest track “Stones” we rated it our number one in our reviews and rankings of Entscheidungsshow!!
Tell us we would love to know what motivated you to enter the national selection for Switzerland? Was there any attraction to ESC before this year or has it been a spontaneous decision?
Of course we watched the ESC with our family when we were kids. But never felt we had the right song to compete. With STONES we think we have a song in hand that has the potential to make a little difference in this world..
We love your sound guys and we can hear many different artists in your music, we have to ask who are your biggest musical inspirations and what do you think inspires you the most about these artists?
We grew up listening to Rock n Roll. Blues, Rock and Soul was always a big inspiration for us. (The Rolling Stones, Aretha Franklin, Janis Joplin, Led Zepplin) Nowadays we love artists like: Imagine Dragons, 21pilots, Jack White, Paramore, Beck, No Doubt, Pink..

Now ZiBBZ is quite the unusual band name. Is there a story behind how the name came to be?
Zibbz is a made up name. It comes from siblings.
“Stones” is quite a rock inspired song but can you tell us what the message of your song is?
We wrote STONES in a songwrite-camp with Canadian songwriter Laurell Barker..
The message is something which moves us all deeply and is sadly still a problem in todays world. Its about inclusion, equality, diversity and tolerance. Its a call to stand up against bullying and hate.

Did you know from when you were always going to be producing music since you were young, or did you realize while you grew up that you could make a career out of it later on in your lives?
Yes we have always lived for music - with no plan B.
We knew we wanted to become professional musicians and studied & performed from a young age. It can be chaotic and tough at times but it always pays off when we get to perform and release new music.
You are trying to represent Switzerland in Eurovision this year, seeing Switzerland’s recent fortunes of non-qualifications of three years consecutive, does that add any extra pressure onto you guys or do you have confidence that you will be able to bring Switzerland back to the finals if you are chosen?
Of course there is pressure. but we take it as a challenge and all we can do is to give our best! We would love to get into the finals, but thats up to the audience. Representing Switzerland in a new way is our goal, no matter the outcome.

Are you planning on anything special happening throughout your performance, what are you allowed to reveal about your performance?
Its a surprise :)
Eurovision is a live show where many things can easily go wrong, and there are many examples of this are you guys apt at dealing with technical malfunctions or mistakes on stage have you got any funny experiences of on stage malfunctions?
Yes, we are absolutely live-mistake-proof. :) We’ve been playing/performing all our lives, many shows we play as a duo. Sometimes two instruments each at the same time.. There can always be technical issues, but we’ve learned to always keep the show going! Coco has a few jokes ready in case that happens! :)

ZiBBZ has quite an alternative sound, with recent editions of Eurovision favoring mainly modern and mainstream pop music do you believe that if you were to win you would stand out?
We love that ESC has become more edgy and diverse in the recent years and we think we have a chance - now more than ever!
We love it when artists share the same passion for Eurovision as we do, so we’ll ask the big question. What is your favorite Eurovision entry of ALL TIME!?
Of course ABBA is the most legendary performance, but our absolute favorites are Common Linnets.

We love it when ESC artists have the tenacity to prepare material, songs, music videos and more for after their stint on Eurovision do you have anything in the pipeline for the near future?
We have just released a new album „it takes a village“ and have some music videos ready! Whatever happens we will keep doing what we do best - music.
We do have to ask as you are a “family band” of sorts is the rest of your family as musically inclined as you guys?
Our parents met in a rocknroll band. They both still play music and are very excited that we are part of ESC. Our younger sister prefers horse-riding over music, but always comes to our shows and supports us!

As of the odds right now you guys are one of the clear favorites does that add any extra pressure onto you to do well or do you thrive on this kind of pressure?
We are happy to have such good feedback. It definitely puts pressure on, but tells us to keep working hard for what we love!
If you guys do get the ticket to Lisbon, what will be the first thing you’ll do while in Lisbon? Explore the sights, taste food, experience the culture?
Yes all of that! Everything!

Switzerland has only won the contest twice, the first ever edition and the second win coming from Celine Dion, do you hope to live up to the predecessors of Switzerland’s winners?
We definitely wanna see Switzerland in the finals! If it happened twice it can work again! :)
One last thing, do you have a message for your devoted fans?
Your support means the world to us!! Thank you for helping us spread the message and the music. Hope to see you in Lisbon!! ;)

Well ZiBBZ I would like to thank you for your time and wish you the best of luck in the forthcoming Entscheidungsshow final! Good Luck!!
WE THANK YOU!

It was a pleasure to interview these guys, they are so natural and charismatic, I secretly hope they win, but don't tell Angie or Alejandro I said that! 😂
