Deborah C is an artist who has caused a stir in the local music industry after winning a TV singing contest by a landslide, and has attracted the attention of several heavyweights in the music industry. Deborah C is no stranger to the Malta Eurovision Song Contest, having participated multiple times over the years. But will this year be her year?!
We talked to Deborah C to get to know her a little better!

Deborah its great to be interviewing you, firstly can you tell us what does your song mean to you or mean in general?
I believe ‘Turn It Up’ is a potential song... It has a universal appeal and gives people an infectious energy. Its hook is memorable! Christian Schneider, Aidan O’ Connor, Sarah Biglert and Erik Gronwall (composers/authors) shared all their ideas on music, style and lyrics to come up with a great song. The message behind this song is to live to the maximum and give everything 100% whether it’s a relationship or a passion. We turn up the music to dance, to celebrate, to love. Life is too short so give it the best shot you can!
Why do you want to go to Eurovision?
Representing your country is always a great honour. Since it’s the biggest platform here in Malta which opens new doors abroad.
