Get To Know Eleanor Cassar (MESC)

We recently extended the invitation to ALL of the Maltese National Final competitors of an interview to get to know each and every one of them a little bit better and today we will get to know Eleanor Cassar!! Who is singing ‘Back To Life’

1) What does your song mean to you or mean in general?

The song is based on psychological abuse. Is about a person who is in a relationship and was suffering from psychological abuse, but she managed to start a new chapter and to have back her life.

2) Why do you want to go to Eurovision?

It was always my dream to represent Malta in this festival. Since I was very young. It’s a big showcase for the singer and brings many opportunities as well.

3) Do you believe you can win MESC?

Well I believe in my song, and I’m trying my best to make my dream come true.

4) What is your favourite Eurovision entry of all time?

Molitva in 2007 and Euphoria in 2012

5) Do you believe you can win ESC?

That would be so great!! Well... yes ...with a good song and good performance it’s possible to win it, but as you know you need some luck too.

6) Do you have any pre show superstitions you do before you perform?

I’m a spiritual person so I always say a little prayer before go on stage.

7) Who do you believe is your biggest competition in MESC?

I believe that all songs are good, so it’s a very tough competition.

8) What is your favourite lyric from your song?

Even when it hurts so wrong, I knew that I was Strong!

9) Can you reveal any secrets about your staging or song anything special planned?

I can say that I will be alone on stage

10) If you weren’t a singer what do you think you would be doing?

An Actor or Dancer.

11) Which country do you think will win the ESC this year?

I have not heard any song yet, so I cannot judge jet.

12) If you could duet with a famous singer dead or alive who would it be?

I would love to sing with Celine Dion, Adele or Bruno Mars

13) If you win ESC what would be the first thing you will do?

Maybe I will cry a bit, but definitely, I will be so emotional.
