Get To Know Tiziana Calleja (MESC)

Tiziana Calleja, the Maltese diva will take part in the national selection of Malta, Malta Eurovision Song Contest, with the song ‘First Time’.

Tiziana will compete against 15 other entries in the national final, but she believes her song has what it takes to get her the win and take her to Lisbon!

We extended an invitation to Tiziana to be interviewed which she graciously accepted! Below is the interview with Tiziana Calleja!

What does your song mean to you or mean in general Tiziana?

The song means serenity and happiness. Being positive in life and finding your way forward.

When asked why do you want to go to Eurovision? Tiziana replied,

I believe Eurovision is a wonderful way to celebrate and bringing artists together from different countries. I think I can give a lot out there I’m confident and love performing.

Does Tiziana believe she can win MESC?

Yes that is why I participated. So believing is the main key for this.

What is Tiziana’s favourite Eurovision entry of all time?

Euphoria for sure!

Does Tiziana believe she can win ESC?

This is a huge question!

Does Tiziana have any pre show superstitions she does before she performs?

I do say a little prayer before I go onstage.

Who does she believe is her biggest competition in MESC?

I try to go well and enjoy every performance. Everyone invests and want the best for their performance. Perhaps when I see the Performances on stage I would have a better vision.

What is her favourite lyric from your song?

‘So I forget about what is left behind, and keep tomorrow in my mind’

We asked Tiziana if she could reveal any secrets about her forthcoming performance but the Maltese diva remained tight-lipped only revealing that…

Cannot reveal much as I prefer that everything is a surprise but I promise serenity.

If Tiziana wasn’t a singer what would she be doing?

Interior design :)

Which country does Tiziana think will win the ESC this year?

Nooo iideeaaa!

If she could duet with a famous singer dead or alive who would it be?

Freddie Mercury... For sure!

If Tiziana wins ESC what would be the first thing she will do?

I would go on holiday first… then come back and carry on working and building projects!
