3 Eurovision veterans, 2 top tens and 1 Eurovision winner have joined the 2018 edition of Melodi Grand Prix!
Last year Norway reached out and grabbed the moment to reach the top ten again with JOWST and Aleksander Walmann.
But now Norway have revealed what we believe to be one of the strongest national final line ups this year!
Here are the participants!

Charlotte Kjær (29) is from Tønsberg, but currently living in Stockholm. In 2009 she came second in the "X Factor" with the Shackles group. In 2013, she participated in MGP for the first time with the same group, but at the time as a duo.
Charla signed a record contract with Roxette star Per Gessle on his record label Space Station 12, and the Swedish star has contributed to writing this song.
Charlotte will sing ‘Stop The Music’

Alejandro Fuentes (30) from Chile and Kristiansand was first known in Idol in 2005. Since then, he has had great success both as soloist and as part of the supergame The New Guitar Comics. Fuentes wanted to make his MGP contribution, the love song "Tengo Otra", in Spanish.

Aleksander Walman (32) from Porgrunn hit the Norwegian music scene in 2012, when he was in second place in "The Voice". In last year's MGP, Alexander Walmann was still an underdog and releasing unknown. Since then, he has traveled Europe, stood on the biggest scenes, entertained millions of people and received a very respectable 10th place in the Eurovision Song Contest together with JOWST and the song "Grab the moment".
Now they participate two for the second time, but this time only with Alexander on stage.
Aleksander will sing 'Talk to the hand'

Stella Mwangi (31) and Alexandra Rotan (21) were introduced to each other by NRK, as they were considered the perfect duo for the submitted song song "You Got Me".
Norwegian-Kenyan Stella is mentioned as one of the country's most raped rappers, while Alexandra travels around the world as lead vocalist for Alan Walker. Stella has previously been to the top of the Melodi Grand Prix with the song "Haba Haba" in 2011. Alexandra also has an MGP story. In 2010, she debuted on the big stage in MGP Junior with the song "What We Want".

Vidar Villa (26) from Oslo had one of the summer's biggest hits with the song "One Night Stand" and was rewarded with four times platinum. In 2017 his songs were streamed a total of 27 million times, making Vidar Villa one of last year's most streamlined Norwegian artists.

Tom Hugo Hermansen (38) from Kristiansand is a singer / songwriter with platinum acclaim on the wall and extensive radio play for some of his songs. He works both nationally and internationally, and spends his time in both Norway and Germany. Tom Hugo has written songs for successful artists in Japan, Germany and China, and the latest production is Y'akotos 'All I Want'.
Tom will sing 'I like I like I like'

Ida Maria Børli Sivertsen (33) from Nesna is an established artist and songwriter with great success in punk and rock. In 2008 she released the debut album "Fortress Round My Heart" in Norway and England. For the album, she won the award for the newcomer of the year and the Gramo Gramo award under the 2008 Game Awards. More of her songs are used in TV shows in the United States.
Ida Marie was third in the NRK program "Stjernekamp" in the autumn of 2017.
Ida will sing 'Scandilove'

Rebecca Thoresen (19) from Oslo is former winner of P3's "Urørt U16" and plans to continue to bet on the music.
Her contribution "Who We Are" was written by Kjetil Mørland, who won the MGP with the song "A Monster Like Me" in 2015. He represented Norway in Vienna together with Debrah Scarlett and finished 8th in the international finals.

Nicoline Berg Kaasin (28) from Bærum is a singer and dancer who became known to the Norwegian audience when she reached the final in the "The Voice" music contest on 2015. After participating in the TV2 program, she released several singles. Nicoline was in charge as Margaret Berger won the Melodi Grand Prix in 2013, thus contributing to Norway during the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö later that year. In 2016 she danced for Agnete during the ESC in Stockholm.
In 2016 she released her first single "No Suitcase". Later that year she became a favorite among the people and went to the final in the NRK program "Stjernekamp".
Nicoline will sing 'Light me up'

Alexander Rybak (31) became known throughout Europe in 2009 when he represented Norway and won the Eurovision Song Contest. With 387 points he beat all previous points in the competition. The winning song "Fairytale" was top European hitlists afterwards, and the album "Fairytales" was released in 25 countries. Since the victory of the Eurovision Song Contest, Alexander has been touring at home and abroad and has been involved in a wide range of music projects.
Alexander was born in Minsk in Belarus. When Alexander was five years old, the family moved to Norway and settled on Nesodden in Akershus. Alexander has played violin since he was little and stood early on stage. In 2006, he won the NRK competition "Kjempesjansen" with his own jazz-inspired composition "Foolin".
