It's Christabelle For Malta!! Christabelle wins MESC by a landslide!

Christabelle Borg has won the Malta Eurovision Song Contest on her fourth attempt at representing Malta. After finishing second in 2015 and fourth in 2016, she was able to snatch the victory from Eurovision 2014 alum Richard and fan favourite Brooke.

After some hours of screaming live vocals and multiple ads from jewellery and life insurance companies!

Christabelle and her three dancers took to the stage and smashed it in the live final! Scooping the douze points from the five international juries of Iceland, Albania, Czech Republic, FYR Macedonia and Italy and then winning the televote for a clean sweep of the show!

Before being handed the trophy by last years winner, Claudia Faniello who reprieved her 2017 entry “Breathlessly” to open the show, then partook in the interval act, with 2017 Junior Eurovision entry Giannluca who reprieved his entry “Dawra Tond”.

Christabelle Borg, will take to the stage in Lisbon on May, competing in the second semi-final where she will take on stiff competition from steady and annual qualifiers of Australia, Sweden, Ukraine, Russia, Romania, Norway and many more!

Malta was represented by Claudia Faniello in Kyiv last year with her song “Breathlessly” where she received 50 points form the international juries but unfortunately was slammed with 0 points from the televote! Ultimately relishing in the semi final! Watch her performance below!
