After a drama filled national final, fan favourite and returnee, Melovin has taken out the Vidbir crown beating out fellow returnee Tayanna by ONE POINT! THE DRAMA! As mentioned the drama was high, as Tayanna won the jury vote, with Meloving coming second and Laud in third. While the public had other ideas placing Tayanna third, Kadnay second and Melovin first therefore handing the win to "Under The Ladder"

Even more drama played out during the final, as Verka Serduchka's male counterpart Andriy Mykhailovych Danylko, accused eventual runner-up Tayanna of lip-syncing to playback, the scenario played out all the while Andriy swore at crowd members, who plead with him to stop. But Tayanna showed Andriy whats what and belted out "Leyla" right there on the spot. All we can say is give us Zlata or Ruslana next year.

Melovin is a Vidbir veteran competing last year against Tayanna and eventual winner O.Torvald, where he placed third behind Tayanna and O.Torvald! But this year he promised his revenge and his revenge is what he got, winning the public vote by a landslide! Melovin will take to the stage in Lisbon with "Under The Ladder" competing in the second half of the second semi final, in which he will take on the likes of Jessica Mauboy, Waylon and Yulia Samoylova!
