John and Benjamin are through to the Melodifestivalen final!

It has been a long wait but Melodifestivalen finally returned tonight with the first semi-final of this year's selection process. Seven acts battled it out for a place in this year's final but only two acts could get a place, with another two having to settle for a place in the Andra Chansen round. The following seven acts competed in tonight's semi-final:

1. Sigrid Benson - "Patrick Swayze"

2. John Lundvik - "My Turn"

3. Renaida - "All the Feels"

4. Edward Blom - "Livet pa en pinne" (Life on a stick)

5. Kikki Danielsson - "Osby Tennessee"

6. Kamferdrops - "Solen lever kvar hos dig" (The sun is still alive with you)

7. Benjamin Ingrosso - "Dance You Off"

After a one and a half hour show, John Lundvik and Benjamin Ingrosso were the lucky two who were selected to go directly to the final. Sigrid Bernson and Renaida were the two acts gaining a place in the Andra Chansen round.

We wish John and Benjamin the best of luck in Stockholm for the final in Stockholm on 10th March, and we wish Sigrid and Renaida the best of luck in Kristianstad on 3rd March.
