After months of waiting, we now know Saara's song for Lisbon! In tonight's first national final, Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu, it was decided that Saara will perform "Monsters" in the contest in May. It was the first out of Saara's three songs to be released and it's already hit 1.2 million views on YouTube, so it's a deserving winner. We can't forget that it was also the Worldvision jury's favourite heading into tonight's national final!

Saara's song, "Monsters" was written by Joy Deb, Linnea Deb, Ki Fitzergald and Saara Aalto herself, and marks her first single since her UMK 2016 entry, "No Fear". The song will be performed in the second half of the first semi-final alongside the likes of Franka Batelic, Eleni Foureira, Gianna Terzi, Ryan O'Shaughnessy and Zibbz. This also means we now know the artist and title for all the songs in the second half of semi-final 1, which means song submission deadline must be nearing!

"Monsters" won tonight's national final with 183 points (88 from the jury and 95 from the televoting). "Domino" finished in second place with 159 points (84 from the jury, 75 from the televoting) and "Queens" finished in third place with 138 points (68 from the jury, 70 from the televoting).

The jury was made up of eight international jurors who each presented their votes on camera. The jurors for UMK 2018 were as follows:

Estonia - Leena Kuurma (Represented Switzerland as part of Vanilla Ninja in 2005)

France - Edoardo Grassi (French head of delegation)

Iceland - Hera Bjork (Represented Iceland in 2010)

Italy - Kabir Naidoo (Italian head of press)

Norway - Stig Karlsen (Norwegian head of delegation)

Portugal - Suzy (Represented Portugal in 2014)

Switzerland - Reto Peritz (Swiss head of delegation)

United Kingdom - William Lee Adams (Editor and founder, Wiwibloggs)

Former Spice Girl, Melanie C, also made an appearance tonight, performing her song "I Turn to You". CatCat also performed their Eurovision entry from 1994, "Bye Bye Baby" alongside host Krista Siegfrieds (Finland 2013). Krista also performed the opening number for the show, which sampled Suzy's Eurovision entry, "Quero Ser Tua" (Portugal 2014)!
