I recently set out to interview some of the participants of Supernova, The Latvian National Final for Eurovision. The artists were all so kind and welcoming. The questions I asked were: 1. What are your opinions on the other songs at Supernova? 2. Why did you decide to enter Supernova? 3. What would your dream Eurovision stage be like?

The first person I recived a response from was Ed Rallidae [also, sorry about the previous image of a faux you. I owe you one Ed!] (my Supernova winner). Ed is a producer and a competitor in the 2016 instalment of Supernova. His answers to my questions were: “1. Well this year looks very diverse. From latino rhythms to our native latvian language. Lots of talented musicians so it's everyone's game. I think it's gonna come down to the quality of live performances. 2: Supernova is a great platform to show your talent to gain some recognition and also it's been a dream of mine to maybe once step on the big stage. This year especially since Aminata offered to work on a song together I didn't want to miss out on a great opportunity. 3: I'm all about simplicity. Simple geometric shapes. Big screens, I mean the technical advances are almost limitless nowadays. If we talk about the setup for my song "What I Had With You" it would be just that so the main focus is on emotions.” You can listen to Ed’s song below!

The second artist I got a reply from was Katrine Lukins. Like Ed, she preformed in Supernova last year, and is here to try her luck again. Her answers were “1. Everyone One has their own sound and style. I really like that, i Don't have any personal favorite but I'm really happy that This year there are many New artists. 2.this will be My second time in supernova. I just wrote "Running red Lights" and really liked the song so I just sent it in, and it made it to the top 21. So its super Fun!! 3. I haven't thought of that so much yet. I'm still redoing My performance Here in the supernova. So I have to start thinking about that soon :D” You can listen to her song below.

The last artist that I have recieved wording from is Liene Greifane. Better known as Liene Candy, she is quite the successful artist in Latvia, with 2010’s Latvian ”Song of the Year”. Her responses to my questions were ”1. There's some nice songs, and I like few of them. 2. It has been 10 years since I performed with the “Pirates of the see“ in Eurovision 2008. So I have to celebrate it somehow. :) 3. Right now I'm not thinking even about supernova final. Don't really know what would it be like. I'm easy going person. I prefer to enjoy the performance without those questions what or how it would be. Only God knows it❤“ Listen to her song below!

That is all for now. I will update this in instalments as I get more information from more artists!
