After a much-hyped national final, Destination Eurovision has come to an end and fan favourite Madame Monsieur has won the chance to sing for France in Portugal!
After a nerve-racking voting sequence, Madame Monsieur was victorious, when the televote took them to the crown, beating out Lisandro Cuxi and his song “Eva” who for most of the voting looked like he was going to take it out, not without strong competition from Emmy Liyana!
After Emmy bombed out early in the voting it looked like Lisandro would win. But the voters at home had other plans, voting Madame Monsieur into number one! Cancelling out the international juries and handing the crown to the electronic duo!

Madame Monsieur will send their beautifully crafted song “Mercy” the song touches on the subject of the global refugee crisis. The muse of the song is a young refugee girl who was born abroad after her mother fled their war-torn country and her story.
“I was born this morning, my name is Mercy, in the middle of the sea, between two countries, Mercy…” Madame Monsieur’s heart wrenching song is a sure follow-up to Alma’s “Requiem”.
The song will required emotional and touching staging and a good place in the running order, in order for the duo to stand out in Lisbon.
France was represented by the songstress Alma in Kyiv last year with her song “Requiem” where she was heavily favoured to reach the top of the scoreboard after closing the grand final but ultimately had to relish in 12th position in the Grand Final. Watch her performance below!
