Melovin releases his Vidbir 2018 Song! ‘Under The Ladder’

Last year he was one of the two breakout stars to come from the Ukrainian selection and this year Melovin is back for blood, releasing his anticipated entry ‘Under The ladder’

Melovin’s rich tone of voice suits this song tremendously well, the song has a slow build, but when the build peaks, it really peaks and the songs power and drive come to fruition. The song itself is a modern and edgy mid-tempo song, which gives us Tijana Bogicevic vibes for some reason. “Under The Ladder” keeps true to Melovin’s artistic style and style of music, the song has the same tribal-esque elements that “Wonder” had last year while not being a ‘copy & paste’ of his most successful song from vidbir the year previously.

Tayanna’s Song change.

Later last year Tayanna the other breakout star of Vidbir 2017, announced she would return to the national final, but she would let the public decide what song she would take. Tayanna uploaded four songs for consideration, “Kvitka”, “Mliyu”, “Sila” and “Trimaj Mene”. The public voted. “Kvitka” was the winner beating out “Sila”. But unfortunately Tayanna has announced she will be unable to take “Kvitka” to Vidbir in 2018 as it was released before the Spetember 1st cut off date, making it ineligible. Tayanna made the announcement on her Instagram page. But not to dismay Tayanna also announced that she was producing a new song to take to Vidbir and we here at Worlvisionews.com hope she brings the goods!

Kazka’s Wonders!

On January 15th duo KAZKA announced that they would be entering Vidbir with their song ‘Dyva’ (No not Ani Lorak) “Dyva” (Wonders). Sasha and Nikita of KAZKA are in it to win it! The song features traditional Ukrainian folk sounds that are infused with a current electronic sound. The sounds of traditional Ukrainian instruments flourish throughout the progression of the track and enhance the track providing a depth that most songs that attempt this genre lack. The X Factor Ukraine alums are in strong competition this year as returning powerhouses Tayanna and former X Factor Ukraine winner Melovin are back, setting up Vidbir for an absolute bloodbath of a national final!

Vidbir Dates!

Melvin releases his Vidbir 2018 Song! ‘Under The Ladder’ with two semi finals to be held on February 10th and 17th and the final on the 24th of February.

Listen to “Time” by O.Torvald which represented Ukraine in Kyiv directly qualifying to the final as they were the host country where they placed 24th with 36 points, Ukraine’s worst result to date.
